Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta Dining

The Madeleine Bed & Breakfast Inn fills up every year during the very popular Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta.  Guests come to sample the best cuisine and wines the city has to offer, with tastings and full Wine Dinners happening all weekend long.  If you want to indulge in a Wine Dinner, be prepared to spend anywhere from $95 to $150 per person.

We have a selection of menus for many of the participating restaurants for you to peruse once you are in Santa Fe, but I would advise booking in advance to ensure a place at the table.  Many of the restaurants will book out ahead of time, so you will want to call ahead to make your reservation.

My top pick for a Wine Dinner during this Fiesta is Restaurant Martin, which gets consistently high ratings from our guests.  They are doing two Wine Dinners, on Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday the 22nd, for $150 per person.  The Wednesday dinner is almost sold out, but there is greater availability for Thursday night's dinner.

Another top pick would be Osteria D'Assisi, with a Tour of Italy Dinner on Friday, September 23. The complete menu and wine pairings is $129/person.

Of course for those wanting to simply enjoy the aroma of roasting chiles in the air but not break the bank with expensive dinners, there are plenty of restaurants offering their normal menus throughout the course of the Fiesta.  You can get your own bottle(s) of fine wine at the Casa Sena Wine Shop, just down the street from The Madeleine, and have your own private wine tasting.
