Berlioz, Barber & Brahms

The Madeleine Bed and Breakfast Inn hosts a constant stream of music lovers all year long.  While Santa Fe is particularly known for its summer music offerings, from world-class opera to chorale, the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus also has a very full winter performance schedule to delight locals and visitors alike.

On Sunday, January 23, the Orchestra will present Jazz Meets the Classics, featuring the music of Berlioz's Rob Roy Overture, Brahms' Symphony No. 4 and Barbar's  Violin Concerto.  The Barbar Violin Concerto features acclaimed violinist Michael Ludwig, who is a highly sought-after soloist, performing with such greats as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Pops and the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra.  To get even more out of this performance you will want to attend the pre-concert lecture which begins at 3pm.

The performance will take place at the acclaimed Lensic Performing Arts Center, located just two blocks from the Santa Fe Plaza.  Tickets are 20-$70 and cover both the entrance to the lecture and the concert.

Tickets may be purchased by phone at 505.988.1234 or online at TicketsSantaFe.org.
