Inexpensive Thanskgiving Dinners in Santa Fe

Going out for dinner in Santa Fe can be a pricey affair any time of the year, and Thanksgiving is certainly no exception.  I have noticed, however, that there are some very moderately-priced meals to be had at a number of Santa Fe eateries this year.  Guests at The Madeleine Bed & Breakfast Inn will want to make Thanksgiving reservations in advance for these or any restaurants.  Of course we are happy to make these reservations for you as well!

Ze French Bistro
Normally known for its delicious classic French cuisine, Ze French Bistro is offering a four course Thanksgiving Dinner for just $35 ($17 for children under age 11).  There are two menus to choose from: one centered around Roasted turkey breast with mashed potatoes, creamy spinach and cranberry sauce; the second featuring Baked Atlantic Salmon and Champagne 'beurre blanc' with leeks fondue and herb roasted fingerling potatoes.
They will be serving from 11:30-9pm.

The Zia Diner
Yes, this is a diner, but a pretty upscale diner all in all.  When our guests ask for something basic like meatloaf or macaroni and cheese, we immediately think of 'the Zia'.  I have to say, their Thanksgiving menu looks pretty intriguing,  and the price can't be beat!  The prix fixe menu is set at a mere $29.95 ($10.95 for children under 10), with three selections to choose from.  You can start with a Celery and Pear Bisque or Pear and Organic Greens Salad, and then move on to the 'Totally Thanksgiving Plate" or the tasty-sounding and vegetarian "Winter Squash Napoleon" or a Maple Glazed Pork Tenderloin.  Save room for dessert, as there are five different pies to choose from.
